    Following the resumption of scheduled and non scheduled passenger flights into Kenya and on transit
    through international airports, the following guidelines shall apply:

    1. All arriving passengers on international flights from the list of approved States must be in
      possession of a PCR based COVID-19 negative certificate that is digitally verifiable for a test
      conducted within 96 hours of commencement of travel. The list of approved States whose
      travellers who are exempt from quarantine can be accessed on the KCAA website:
      https://www.kcaa.or.ke/quarantine-exempted-states and will be reviewed as necessary to
      accommodate changes communicated by the approving authority.
    2. All travellers will be expected to fill the travellers’ locator form and submit it before travel on
      and thereafter submit daily health information to jitenge platform for 14
      consecutive days.
    3. For travellers whose certificates expire while on transit, the airline shall deposit the travellers’
      passport at the port health desk and facilitate testing in a recognized facility, at own cost.
    4. All crew shall be exempt from quarantine after operating any flight if their body temperature is not
      above 37.5° C (99.5°F). do not exhibit symptoms of COVID–19 and there is no suspected case of
      COVID-19 on their flight. With a suspected case of COVID-19 on the flight, the crew shall be
      quarantined at home or a designated facility. If results are negative they shall be allowed to resume
      normal duties.
    5. The air operators shall be responsible for ensuring proper screening, medical briefing and
      reporting any cases to the relevant authorities.
    6. For those passengers travelling out of the country, they will be required to abide by the particular
      travel, health and COVID-19 related requirements of the destination country.
    7. Passengers arriving on flights after the curfew, with a valid Air Ticket and Boarding Pass shall be
      allowed to proceed to their hotels and/or residences.
    8. Drivers should have evidence that they have come from the Airport to drop or pick up
      passengers.
    9. Passengers departing on flights after the curfew, with a valid Air Ticket and Boarding Pass shall
      be allowed to proceed to their departure airport.
    10. Air Operators shall provide guidance material to passengers regarding the application of the
      preventive measures on board.
    11. Where physical distancing cannot be guaranteed because of the seat configuration or other
      operational constraints, the crew members will make constant onboard announcements
      reminding passengers to adhere at all times to all the other preventive measures including strict
      hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette and should wear a surgical face mask. In addition, other
      measures such as cabin high-efficiency particulate filters (HEPA) where available will be
      employed.
    12. Passengers disembarking should be released from the aircraft in batches of thirty persons to
      avoid overcrowding at the screening area. Airline ground handlers coordinate passenger
      release at intervals with port health.
