REF : KATO/CIRCULAR/JULY-22/1
DATE : 4th July, 2022
TO : All KATO Members
Dear Member,
KTF ELECTION PERIOD OPERATING PROCEDURES (EPOP) 2022
We trust that this finds you well.
The country is back to Elections mode as part of the 5-Year Election Cycle and the next General Election will be held on 9th August, 2022.
In view of this, the KTF-Safety & Communication Centre (KTF-SCC) in conjunction with the KTF constituent Associations with support from Kenya Wildlife Service, Tourist Police Unit and National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) will be convening the EPOP Planning Committee. The primary task of the Committee is to prepare procedures to oversee the smooth coordination of safaris for tourists who will be in the country during the election period. EPOP is an early warning system to spot and address any issues that could disrupt the smooth running of safaris during the election period. The operation is therefore targeted to run for five days between 7th and 11th August, 2022.
To make EPOP 2022 a success, the KTF Safety Centre has requested KATO to mobilize financial support from its members. The funds raised will be used to cover a wide range of expenses including: subsistence for Observers, Airtime and other Communications costs, fuel for donated vehicles, Branded Safety Jackets and Vests etc.
We urge members to support EPOP 2022 and all your donations/contributions can be sent directly to KTF offices or banked to: –
